Board Update – New CEO Hired

Following a three-month national search, the Community Co-op Market Board of Directors is pleased to announce that we have selected a new CEO to lead our cooperative.

The board engaged the executive search firm The Carlisle Group to complete a professional search and the board reviewed several resumes of interested candidates and interviewed three candidates before selecting Troy Bond to the lead our cooperative. Troy will relocate with his family to Tallahassee and begin work at the co-op on May 30th.

Troy brings over 20 years of retail food and cooperative management experience and most recently served as the General Manager of the Berkshire Food Co-op in Massachusetts. Prior to Berkshire, Troy held management positions with Nassau Health Foods, the Independent Natural Foods Retailers Association, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and Dahl’s Foods. Troy earned a BA in English from Trinity University and a MA in English Literature form the University of Northern Iowa.

Troy visited Tallahassee in April and spent time with the board and the store’s management team, and he will join us at the co-op’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 14th. I hope you can join us and meet him.

We appreciate your patronage and support of Community Co-op Market and look forward to seeing you in the store soon. Our work to grow the local food economy and improve the health and wellness of our staff, customers, and neighbors continues.
